Who am I?

My friends call me Auri.

I’m finding my path in this world by aggressively pursuing my passions, expanding my horizons, and learning as much as I can. Right now I’m learning about web hosting, cybersecurity, and physical security. In fact, managing my brand online is my first big project. I’ve enjoyed the journey so much that I am writing entire blog about how you too can build, host, secure, and continuously monitor your own website in a cloud environment (coming soon!).

Lately I’ve been spending a lot more of my free time studying my fields of interest, but in my ever-decreasing free time, I like to draw, paint, cook, bake, and work on home improvement projects; I plan to blog about those too, if for no other reason, than to document my experiences learning useful life skills while spending time with the people I love so much.

My next chapter involves entering the workforce and growing my skills!

At present, I am undertaking the Tines (SOAR) Certification training which goes beyond traditional security operations. This training has already provided me with invaluable insights into automating both security-related and non-security-related tasks, increasing operational efficiency and effectiveness across an array of my personal projects and work.

Once I complete this certification, my first new project will be to automate inventory management at Red Rock Bread. By automating ingredient tracking and setting triggers for automated restocking, my objective is to significantly streamline operational procedures and save both time and money in our business operations.

Efficiency and precision will become our hallmarks, thanks to the magic of automation!

Together with my sister, we established Red Rock Bread, a community-oriented business delivering mouthwatering baked goods directly to our customers. Our upcoming mobile app will make ordering and delivery a breeze for locals.

As the founder of Red Rock Bread, my duties span various facets of our business:

Business Operations & Finances: I manage daily operations and finances, ensuring smooth running and sustainable profitability.

Head Baker: Passionate about baking and quality, I'm the head baker, crafting delightful recipes and maintaining high standards for taste and presentation.

Packaging & Delivery: I supervise packaging and delivery, assuring customers receive fresh, high-quality orders on time.

Customer Relations: My primary goal is cultivating strong relationships with our customers. I handle all inquiries, feedback, and concerns, striving for excellent service and an exceptional customer experience.

LwJ / 2021 - Present

In the course of my studies at Learning with Joy (LwJ), I have gained considerable experience in digital and physical security.

A testament to this is my proficiency in creating and securing Linux servers in the cloud. Among my key achievements is automating the entire build process for a Minecraft server. I developed an efficient solution that enabled me to execute a slash command from my Slack channel, which in turn built a hardened server, installed and configured Minecraft, and restored the world from backup. This project demonstrated my ability to combine creative problem-solving with technical skills, optimizing both cost and efficiency.

Additionally, my knowledge extends to practical physical security, where I've utilized my lock picking skills to assist neighbors locked out of their homes. These experiences have not only broadened my skill set but have also fostered a deep sense of community engagement and service.

To ensure continued growth and success, I participate regularly in CTF events that challenge my existing knowledge and skills and push me beyond my limits.
